I am happy to announce that I will be guiding one of the nine virtual sessions of the WiMIR workshop 2020 at ISMIR 2020. The title of my session is: The best ever recommendation & For who? And how do you know that?

I am honored to announce that I am invited to give the keynote at the 4th Workshop on Recommendation in Complex Environments (ComplexRec 2020), co-located with RecSys 2020. The fancy ;-) title of my talk is: Ratings in, rankings out. Keep it simple, they said. But we need more than that.

I am nominated as one of 11 top women in technology & innovation in the magazine Die Burgenlandänderin. The ‘‘winner’’ is determined via voting until 9 August 2020. So, please vote now—and choose wisely ;-)

While CHIIR 2020 had to be cancelled due to the current global situation with Covid-19, the paper accompanying the tutorial on multi-method evaluation (that I would have held there) is published.

Unfortunately, CHIIR 2020 was cancelled. This is really sad news. I was so much looking forward to holding the tutorial on multi-method evaluation. Meanwhile, you can have a look at https://multimethods.info, which I maintain with Eva Zangerle. You can find a collection of useful material there.

Being a mentor is inspiring. And it is an overwhelming experience to see a talent grow. So I did not hesitate to participate as a mentor also in the next round of WiMIR mentoring. I will mentor a great, talented female researcher.

Last year (2019), TU Wien started an initiative presenting the diversity of its alumni.
