Keynote at the LEA-Netzwerktreffen 2026 Salzburg

On 11 June 2026, I had the pleasure speaking at the LEA-Netzwerktreffen 2026 in Salzburg, where LEA Role Models and representatives from education and industry came together to discuss the future of AI and the important of greater diversity in the technology sector.

LEA Board Member Eleonora Kleibel kicked things off by presenting the Austrian federal government’s She goes AI initiative. This initiative aims to encourage more women to pursue careers in artificial intelligence, strengthen their skills, and increase their visibility in this rapidly evolving field.

In my keynote, Stereotypes in the development and application of AI, I explored the challenges and opportunities related to the responsible and equitable development and use of AI, with a particular focus on how stereotypes and biases can shape both their design and application.

The discussion that followed brought together a range of perspectives and experiences, highlighting how important networking and exchange are for shaping a diverse future for AI.

Many thanks to LEA for the invitation and to all participants for the engaging discussion and valuable insights.
