I am happy to announce that Martijn C. Willemsen and I organize tutor sessions in scope of the RecSys Summer School 2019. The idea is that each participant can discuss the specific research goals and questions with senior researchers/teachers of the summer school and fellow students.

Besides holding a workshop on the festival’s second day (Friday), I will give a talk on ‘‘Music Information Retrieval: Inside and Outside the Music’’; together with Peter Knees at the AIxMusic Matinée on Sunday, 8 September 2019.
Note, the talk is announced with the title ‘‘Music Information & Music Data’’.

I happily announce that I will hold a workshop with the title Recommenders and Intelligent Tools in Music Creation: Why, Why Not, and How? at AIxMusic Festival in scope of the 2019 Ars Electronica Festival—together with my co-speakers Peter Knees, Richard Vogl, and Hansi Raber.

I am happy to be a speaker at the ACM Summer School on Recommender Systems taking place in Gothenburg, Sweden, just a week before the official RecSys 2019 in Copenhagen, Denmark.

I proudly present the PLOS ONE article by Markus Schedl and me: We analyze music preferences in 47 countries with respect to what is considered mainstream in a particular country. And, of course, we evaluate recommendation approaches considering users’ mainstreaminess.
